Westwind Ranch Paso Finos is located in Athol, Idaho twenty-five
miles from the beautiful lake city and vacation paradise of Coeur
d' Alene. The ranch is situated on 120 acres of mountain pastureland
and is abutted by State and National forest lands, affording
literally hundreds of miles of wooded trails and lake vistas.
It is this setting that provides the "classroom" for
our horses, creating sensible and seasoned trail horses. All
of the horses at Westwind Ranch, including our show horses for
sale are trail ridden regularly, thus fostering horses that are
equally as comfortable on the trail as they are in the show ring.
From the moment our foals are born they learn to "use"
themselves in spacious pastures, cavorting with their pasture
mates and are quite naturally introduced to wildlife that is
often found roaming the ranch. Elk, deer, and wild turkeys abound.
